Legal status
DOM (STP) is a Fraccion I psychotropic under Article 245 of the Ley General de Salud (listed as 2-amino-1-(2,5-dimetoxi-4-metil)fenilpropano, DOM/STP), Mexico's transposition of DOM's individual Schedule I listing under the 1971 UN Convention.
Consequences if caught
Trafficking is a federal crime under the Ley General de Salud and Codigo Penal Federal; DOM is not in the Art. 479 personal-use table, so any amount exposes the holder to prosecution.

Fraccion I: substances with scant or no therapeutic value; not prescribable.
