Is Barbiturates legal in Portugal?

- Personal use is decriminalised (referred to a Dissuasion Commission); trafficking carries multi-year prison terms.
- If prescribed or medical
- Phenobarbital is prescribed as a Tabela IV antiepileptic (a WHO Essential Medicine); the sedative-hypnotic barbiturates are rarely used.
- Documentation
- Carry the Schengen Article 75 certificate and prescription; roughly a 10-daily-dose personal threshold applies before a trafficking presumption.
