Is Amphetamine legal in Thailand?
- Legal status
- Category 1 narcotic under the Narcotics Code B.E. 2564 (2021) — no accepted medical use; excluded from the traveller-permit pathway.
- Consequences if caught
- A serious criminal offence; narcotics offences carry heavy imprisonment. Amphetamine/Adderall cannot be brought in.
- If prescribed or medical
- No traveller-permit route for Category 1 — amphetamine/Adderall cannot lawfully be carried into Thailand.
- Documentation
- Prescription or medical certificate; for narcotic Category 2 and for psychotropic supplies of 31–90 days a Thai FDA permit (Form IC-2) applied for online at least 15 days before travel; carry original packaging and declare via the Customs Red Channel.
