Legal status
2C-I is a controlled drug in Ireland under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977 and its regulations; Ireland was required to control 4-iodo-2,5-dimethoxyphenethylamine after it was named in Council Decision 2003/847/JHA (27 Nov 2003).
Consequences if caught
Possession is an offence carrying fines and/or imprisonment; supply and trafficking carry heavier custodial penalties under the Misuse of Drugs Acts.

No authorised therapeutic or prescription use.
