- 25I-NBOMe is a prohibited controlled narcotic under the Swiss Narcotics Act (BetmG, SR 812.121), which lists the NBOMe compounds in its narcotics schedules; Switzerland, a party to the 1971 Convention, is bound by the March 2015 Schedule I listing of 25I-NBOMe.

- Production, import and sale are criminal offences under the BetmG; possession and use are also punishable.

- No accepted medical use; not available on prescription.
