25I-NBOMe is controlled under the Narcotics Control Act in South Korea; NBOMe phenethylamines were placed under temporary narcotic (imsi-mayakryu) control from 2014, and South Korea, a 1971 party, is bound by the March 2015 Schedule I listing of 25I-NBOMe.

Possession, use, sale and smuggling are criminal offences carrying imprisonment; smuggling and large-scale trafficking attract severe penalties.
