Legal status
Controlled. Synthetic cannabinoids are prohibited under Royal Decree 17/99 on combating narcotics and psychotropic substances, which incorporates the synthetic cannabinoids added to Schedule II of the 1971 Convention. Capital exposure is via the general trafficking regime (death-eligible under Art 43, discretionary with no fixed statutory quantity since 2015); synthetic-cannabinoid-specific reach is left to confirmation.
Consequences if caught
Illegal; trafficking is death-eligible under Royal Decree 17/99. Do NOT carry.
If prescribed or medical
These synthetic cannabinoids have no recognised medical use and no lawful prescription route in Oman.
