Is Quetiapine legal in Spain?

- Quetiapine attracts no controlled-substance penalty; unauthorised supply of this prescription medicine is a medicines-regulation matter, not a trafficking offence.
- If prescribed or medical
- Prescribed as an atypical antipsychotic for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder; the AEMPS ficha tecnica restricts initiation above 300 mg to prescribers experienced in bipolar treatment.
- Documentation
- Seroquel and quetiapine products are registered in the AEMPS CIMA database with published fichas tecnicas; carried lawfully with a prescription.
