Is Quetiapine legal in Malaysia?

Legal status
Quetiapine is a prescription-only medicine (Poisons Act 1952, Group B), not a dangerous drug: Seroquel and quetiapine generics are registered with the NPRA (Quest3+ product register) and quetiapine is not listed under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
Consequences if caught
Quetiapine falls outside the Dangerous Drugs Act, so no controlled-drug penalty applies; unauthorised supply of a Group B poison is a Poisons Act/Sale of Drugs Act offence only.
If prescribed or medical
Prescribed as an atypical antipsychotic for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder; dispensed only on a doctor's prescription.
Documentation
Seroquel and quetiapine products are NPRA-registered in the Quest3+ product database; carried lawfully with a prescription.
