- Controlled — methylone is caught by the GENERIC 'industrial/synthetic' psychotropic class of Article 8 of the Anti-Narcotics Law (covering amphetamine/methamphetamine and synthetic psychotropics); it is not individually NAMED (left to confirmation). Capital-ELIGIBLE by quantity.
- Consequences if caught
- Death by quantity threshold. Under the post-2017 amendment, production/distribution of synthetic drugs is capital above roughly 2 kg and possession/concealment above 3 kg; methylone as an Article-8 synthetic sits in this capital-by-quantity class.

- No recognised medical use; no lawful prescription route.

- No lawful personal import; large synthetic quantities carry the death penalty.
