Mescaline in Morocco: not individually verified
We have not confirmed that Mescaline specifically is scheduled in Morocco, so this page gives no legal status. Publishing a guess here would be worse than publishing nothing. What we do know is the governing national drug law, below.
- What is on record
- Not confirmed. The 1971 Convention tableaux as published by dahir 1-80-140 and printed at Bulletin officiel 3590 of 19 August 1981, page 404, carry « mescaline », mescaline, in the 1971 Convention tableau I as printed in 1981. That is a treaty schedule and not a Moroccan criminal schedule. Dahir 1-80-140 is a publication dahir; the offences of dahir portant loi 1-73-282 of 21 May 1974 attach to substances classified as narcotics and inscribed in tableau B of the dahir of 2 December 1922, and that tableau is populated by an arrêté which is not among the instruments held. So the Convention placement is established and the domestic classification is not. Mescaline is entry 5, printed in lower case in the common names column with « triméthoxy-3,4,5 phénéthylamine » as its chemical designation. That designation matters for the phenethylamine rows: it is the only phenethylamine in the whole table, and it is printed as a single named substance rather than as a family, so it generates no generic clause that could reach the 2C series.
