- Lorazepam is a scheduled psychotropic prescription medicine under Jordan's Drug Law No. 11 of 1988 (as amended by Law No. 54 of 2006).
- Consequences if caught
- Trafficking can draw up to life; simple possession is lower. Law 54/2006 replaced the death penalty with life for drug offences; any residual capital exposure is limited to aggravated international-operation trafficking, not tied to a substance tier — benzodiazepines are not death-eligible by class.

- Available as medicine: Jordan's INCB assessed annual medical and scientific requirement for lorazepam for 2026 is 4,500 g (assessments as at 21 August 2026, submitted by Jordan). It is dispensed as a scheduled psychotropic prescription medicine.
