- Hydrocodone is a controlled narcotic (strong-opioid tier) under the Narcotics Control Act 2018; it is not marketed in Bangladesh and is NOT separately named in the death-eligible Category 'Ka'/A (which names heroin, cocaine, morphine, opium and methadone), so its drug-specific capital tier is left to confirmation.
- Consequences if caught
- Category A trafficking at high quantity is death-eligible, but hydrocodone is not among the named Category A drugs; graduated imprisonment and fines apply by quantity.
- If prescribed or medical
- No marketed Bangladeshi hydrocodone product; a controlled narcotic is dispensed only under narcotic control.
