Legal status
25I-NBOMe is a Schedule 9 (Prohibited Substance) in the Poisons Standard (SUSMP), and Australia, a party to the 1971 Convention, is bound by the March 2015 Schedule I listing; the NBOMe phenethylamines are individually captured.
Consequences if caught
Importation is a Commonwealth offence, and possession, supply and trafficking are offences under state and territory drug laws, with substantial imprisonment for trafficking quantities.
If prescribed or medical
Schedule 9 substances may be used only for research under permit; not available on prescription.
