- Quetiapine is an authorised prescription medicine, not a controlled drug: Seroquel and quetiapine generics are nationally authorised by the EOF and are absent from Greece's narcotic-drug tables under Law 3459/2006.

- Prescribed as an atypical antipsychotic for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder; dispensed only on prescription.

- Quetiapine is on the EMA list of nationally authorised quetiapine medicinal products covering Greece; carried lawfully with a prescription.
