Is Pink Cocaine / Tusi legal in Iran?

- Pink cocaine (tusi) is not scheduled as such; it is a variable mixture (typically ketamine + MDMA) prosecuted through its constituents — Iran controls ketamine under the Law on Combating Narcotics (1988, amended 2017) and the Psychotropic Substances Law (1975), and MDMA is likewise a controlled substance; the law reaches any preparation containing a controlled substance. Because the blend varies batch to batch, exposure follows the most-severely-controlled detected component.
- Consequences if caught
- Ketamine is not among Iran's enumerated capital narcotics, so a ketamine-only sample carries imprisonment rather than death; large-scale trafficking of controlled psychotropics such as MDMA can, however, be death-eligible under the Anti-Narcotics Law.
- If prescribed or medical
- No lawful supply of the mixture; ketamine is a controlled medicine used as an anaesthetic, while MDMA has no accepted medical use.
- Documentation
- Sold as a party powder of unknown makeup; because the blend varies batch to batch, buyers cannot know its constituents or which one drives the penalty, so legal exposure under the Anti-Narcotics Law is unknowable at purchase.
