Is Methylphenidate legal in Singapore?

Legal status
Class B controlled drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1973 (First Schedule) — lower than amphetamine (Class A).
Consequences if caught
Possession/use up to 10 years or S$20,000. Methylphenidate is Class B and NOT in the capital-trafficking schedule, so no capital exposure.
If prescribed or medical
Prescription ADHD/narcolepsy medicine (e.g. Ritalin/Concerta) via controlled channels; carry the original prescription and any required import permit.
