Is Methylphenidate legal in Mexico?

- Psychotropic, Grupo II (fracción II) of Art. 245 of the Ley General de Salud ('Metilfenidato'); requires a special-control prescription.
- Consequences if caught
- Possession without prescription or supply is criminal (narcomenudeo regime + Código Penal Federal).
- If prescribed or medical
- Prescription ADHD/narcolepsy medicine (e.g. Ritalin/Concerta) via controlled channels; carry the original prescription and any required import permit.
