Is Mephedrone (4-MMC) legal in Pakistan?

- Controlled — TREATY-floor. Mephedrone is controlled via national incorporation of the 1971 Schedule II addition into the CNSA 1997 psychotropics schedule. No capital exposure — the drug death penalty was abolished by a 2023 amendment removing capital punishment from the CNSA (formerly s.9 allowed death for >1 kg).

- Controlled psychotropic: heavy custodial penalties, not capital (death removed from the CNSA in 2023).

- Controlled psychotropic with no recognised medical use and no lawful prescription route.
