GBL in Pakistan: not individually verified
Also known as: blue nitro
We have not confirmed that GBL specifically is scheduled in Pakistan, so this page gives no legal status. Publishing a guess here would be worse than publishing nothing. What we do know is the governing national drug law, below.
- What is on record
- Not confirmed for Pakistan. GBL is named in no schedule of the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997. Gamma-butyrolactone is the immediate precursor of GHB and would, if anywhere, sit in Schedule-II as a controlled substance. Division-I and Division-II of Schedule-II were read in full: the twelve Table I entries and the twelve Table II entries of the 1988 Convention. Neither division names butyrolactone, and neither does Schedule V of the Rules 2001.
Confirm directly with Pakistan’s national drug authority or your own embassy before you rely on anything.
