Delta-8-THC in Kiribati: not individually verified
Also known as: d8
We have not confirmed that Delta-8-THC specifically is scheduled in Kiribati, so this page gives no legal status. Publishing a guess here would be worse than publishing nothing. What we do know is the governing national drug law, below.
- What is on record
- Not confirmed. No schedule read names delta-8-THC, so the Ordinance could reach it only through the paragraph 7 words 'Any extract or tincture of cannabis' or the plant, resin and preparation words of section 4(1), and the text does not say whether a named compound or a manufactured product is such an extract. Absence from the schedules read is not a finding that delta-8-THC is uncontrolled: the Minister may modify Schedule 2 by order under section 13(2) (page 8), the Secretary may add to the Poisons List by order under section 53(3) of Cap. 70, and no order made under either power was read. The Dangerous Drugs Ordinance was read as in force in the 1977 Revised Edition as amended to the Acts of 1995 and 2001, and this text does not rule out a later amendment or a later order under section 13(2).
