Caffeine in Côte d'Ivoire: not individually verified
We have not confirmed that Caffeine specifically is scheduled in Côte d'Ivoire, so this page gives no legal status. Publishing a guess here would be worse than publishing nothing. What we do know is the governing national drug law, below.
- What is on record
- Not confirmed. Caffeine is in none of the UN Convention lists that Loi n° 2022-407 du 13 juin 2022 adopts by article 45, as at the INCB Yellow List 65th edition (July 2026) and Green List 36th edition (2025), each read in French and English, the Red List 23rd edition (July 2025), read in French, and the INCB note on the 2026 additions to the 1971 Convention, read in English, all on 3 October 2026, but article 2 also classes « toutes autres plantes et substances dangereuses pour la santé » and article 46 lets the ministers responsible for drugs and health classify any other substance by joint arrêté, and no such arrêté was found, so whether caffeine is caught nationally is not established. Verify before travel.
Confirm directly with Côte d'Ivoire’s national drug authority or your own embassy before you rely on anything.
