Is Amphetamine legal in Singapore?

Legal status
Class A controlled drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1973 (First Schedule) — 'Amphetamine' is named.
Consequences if caught
Possession/use of a Class A drug up to 10 years or S$20,000. IMPORTANT: amphetamine is NOT in the Second-Schedule capital-trafficking list (which names methamphetamine >250 g, opiates, cocaine, cannabis), so amphetamine trafficking is NOT death-penalty-eligible — general Class-A trafficking penalties (5–20 years + caning) apply.
If prescribed or medical
Prescription stimulant via strictly controlled medical channels; carrying it without a local permit/prescription risks arrest.
