Alcohol in Tajikistan: not individually verified
Also known as: booze
We have not confirmed that Alcohol specifically is scheduled in Tajikistan, so this page gives no legal status. Publishing a guess here would be worse than publishing nothing. What we do know is the governing national drug law, below.
- What is on record
- Not confirmed. Alcohol is not named in the National List approved by Government Resolution No. 121 of 27 February 2020 as the Drug Control Agency published it, read at https://akn.tj/ru/2020/04/09/national-list-of-narcotic-drugs-psychotropic-substances-and-their-precursors/ on 3 October 2026, nor in the Agency's consolidation of the list as amended up to Resolution No. 87 of 2 March 2023, nor in Annex 1 to the Criminal Code in the prg.kz consolidation dated 17 June 2026. The texts were searched in Russian and Latin script for "алкогол", "этанол", "этиловый спирт", "спирт". The terms «этанол» and «спирт» matched only as parts of other chemical names, such as «бензиловый спирт» in the cathine entry. Alcohol is outside the drug list, and the laws that do govern it in Tajikistan were not read. So this cell does not say whether alcohol is controlled in Tajikistan.
Confirm directly with Tajikistan’s national drug authority or your own embassy before you rely on anything.
