7-Hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) in U.S. Virgin Islands (US): not individually verified

Not individually verified

We have not confirmed that 7-Hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) specifically is scheduled in U.S. Virgin Islands (US), so this page gives no legal status. Publishing a guess here would be worse than publishing nothing. What we do know is the governing national drug law, below.

What is on record
Not confirmed. 7-hydroxymitragynine is not named in any entry of the federal schedules, 21 CFR 1308.11 to 1308.15 as in force on 30 September 2026, the eCFR text read at https://www.ecfr.gov/api/versioner/v1/full/2026-09-30/title-21.xml?part=1308 on 3 October 2026. Mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine are not listed. Three related compounds are, temporarily: mitragynine pseudoindoxyl, and MGM-15 and MGM-16, described as dihydro-7-hydroxymitragynine and its 9-fluoro analogue, at 21 CFR 1308.11(h)(89) to (91), DEA codes 9672 to 9674, which the eCFR note records as added at 91 FR 54956 of 26 August 2026, effective through 26 August 2028. None of those entries is 7-hydroxymitragynine itself. The territory's own schedules at 19 V.I.C. sec. 595 could not be read in this run, and the territory can control what the federal schedules do not, so whether it is controlled here is not established.
