4-AcO-DMT in Timor-Leste: not individually verified
Also known as: psilacetin
We have not confirmed that 4-AcO-DMT specifically is scheduled in Timor-Leste, so this page gives no legal status. Publishing a guess here would be worse than publishing nothing. What we do know is the governing national drug law, below.
- What is on record
- Not confirmed. Lei n.º 2/2017 carries no closing statement that would let an absence read as a settled negative, so the finding below is reported as unconfirmed rather than closed. 4-AcO-DMT (psilacetin, O-acetylpsilocin) is not named by that name anywhere in Lei n.º 2/2017's tables. Its two closest named relatives sit in Table II-A: psilocybin at item 31 ("Psilocibina - fosfatodiidrogenado de 3-(2-dimetila-minoetil)-4-indolilo") and psilocin at item 32 ("Psilocina - 3-(-2-dimetilaminoetil)-4-(hidroxi-indol)"). Psilocybin is itself the phosphorylated prodrug of psilocin, so the table already shows that the drafters distinguished a prodrug from its parent by naming both separately rather than relying on a clause to reach one from the other. 4-AcO-DMT is a different prodrug of psilocin again, carrying an acetyl group on the 4-hydroxyl position instead of psilocybin's phosphate group; its formula, C14H18N2O2, differs from psilocin's, C12H16N2O, by that acetyl group, so it is not an alternative arrangement of psilocin's own atoms and fails the ordinary chemical meaning of "isómero" for the same reason 1P-LSD and 5-MeO-DMT fail it against their own parent compounds. It is also not a salt of psilocin. Table II-A's closing clause reaches chemical-specific isomers and salts only, not prodrugs or esters, so 4-AcO-DMT is reached by neither name nor that clause. This reading is as printed 25 January 2017, read on 7 October 2026; no later amending law has been found (see the search recorded below).
