4-AcO-DMT in El Salvador: not individually verified

Also known as: psilacetin

Not individually verified

We have not confirmed that 4-AcO-DMT specifically is scheduled in El Salvador, so this page gives no legal status. Publishing a guess here would be worse than publishing nothing. What we do know is the governing national drug law, below.

What is on record
Not confirmed. 4-AcO-DMT is not named in the Listado de sustancias estupefacientes, psicotropicos, precursores y agregados 2026, approved by Acuerdo SI.2026.03.20-01 of the Superintendencia de Regulacion Sanitaria, and the absence does not settle the row, because Article 2 of the Ley Reguladora de las Actividades Relativas a las Drogas, Decreto Legislativo 153 of 2 October 2003 does not stop at the lists: it also reaches, in its own words, substances that act on the central nervous system and whose misuse can cause physical or psychological dependence, and Article 3 letter f lets the health regulator prohibit a further substance. Whether either limb reaches this row was not settled from the documents read here. Psilocybin and psilocin are both printed, and this row is the acetylated ester of psilocin, which is not among the printed tryptamine entries.

Confirm directly with El Salvador’s national drug authority or your own embassy before you rely on anything.
