3-MMC in Samoa: not individually verified
Also known as: metaphedrone
We have not confirmed that 3-MMC specifically is scheduled in Samoa, so this page gives no legal status. Publishing a guess here would be worse than publishing nothing. What we do know is the governing national drug law, below.
- What is on record
- Not confirmed. 3-MMC (3-methylmethcathinone) is not named by that name. Second Schedule item 2 names "Methcathinone" as a Class B narcotic, and 3-MMC is methcathinone with a ring methyl group added, giving it a different molecular formula (methcathinone is C10H13NO; 3-MMC is C11H15NO), so it is not an isomer of the named entry and the Second Schedule's isomer, ester, ether, salt and proportion clauses (B to E) do not reach it on that structural reasoning. Separately, 3-MMC shares its molecular formula, C11H15NO, with PHENMETRAZINE (Second Schedule item 112, Class B), an unrelated morpholine-ring stimulant. Whether the Second Schedule's isomer clause, which reaches isomers "within the specific chemical designation", covers any same-formula compound or only variants of the one named structure is not settled by the text, and that question is left open rather than resolved by assumption.
