Can you buy 2C-B?
No, not legally. We checked 122 jurisdictions against a primary legal source for 2C-B specifically. It is a controlled drug in every one of them. There were no exceptions. Why it is controlled almost everywhere
2C-B is listed in Schedule II of the 1971 UN Convention on Psychotropic Substances. Countries that are party to that convention implement it in their own drug law, which is why the wording differs everywhere and the answer does not: a Class A drug under Singapore’s Misuse of Drugs Act, controlled under Iceland’s Narcotics Act, controlled under Luxembourg’s Narcotics Law, and so on.

Of 470 samples sold as tusi or “pink cocaine” analysed by Energy Control in Spain between 2020 and 2024, ketamine was detected in 93.2% and MDMA in 92.1%. 2C-B was found in 3.6% of them.Someone buying “2C-B” on an illicit market is, on those numbers, overwhelmingly likely to receive a ketamine and MDMA mixture of unknown dose.

What testing exists
If someone already has a substance, testing tells them something that the seller cannot. Reagent tests are cheap and show a colour reaction that can rule things out; they do not give a dose and they do not identify every component of a mixture. Drug-checking services in several countries analyse a sample properly and report what is in it, and some publish the aggregate results, which is where the composition data above comes from. Fentanyl test strips address a different risk again.
No test makes an unknown substance safe, and none of this is a reason to treat a mixture as identified.
